The Coronavirus (COVID-19) Updates

As the Covid-19 situation continues to progress daily and new government mandates and information are changed, we are still taking the necessary steps to ensure the health and safety of our property managers and staff, residents, clients, trades, and the community is a top priority.

Our office remains open.  You can reach us at the office number 604 521-0311 for general questions, repairs, and property information, or by email at al@acdrealty.com, and bill@acdrealty.com.  All of your property managers can be reached on their emergency numbers too. Al can be reached at 604 649-7368, and Bill at 778 837-8094.   We would ask unless absolutely necessary that you do not come into our office.  If you do you will be asked to wait at the front of our office and we ask that you remain there until you are met by one of our staff.

We also do want to thank both our clients and especially our residents who are meeting their financial obligations during these troubling times.

Our trades are operating and we are still maintaining your buildings, houses, condos as we have in the past.  Repairs and maintenance issues are being addressed as best we can.  Some non urgent maintenance items have been delayed.   We are here to protect you and our clients’ properties and provide 24 hour monitoring on all properties as we have done in the past.

In some strata titled buildings we have been notified that facilities in your buildings such as recreation areas, pools, gyms, saunas, and common areas have been closed recently, but now may be opening with restrictions and on a booking bases.  This does vary building to building though.  Annual in suite maintenance items such as in-suite fire alarm testing and dryer vent cleaning were cancelled and in some buildings are resuming to reschedule these maintenance items. We will continue to advise residents on the rescheduling date of these annual maintenance items.

At this time, we are limiting our showings for available units, to qualified tenants only that are actively looking to move in the near future.  This is for the safety of our property managers and staff, prospective tenants and current tenants.  We are exercising precautions when showing such, by way of non contact with potential tenants and limiting contact with the current residents.

The Provincial and Federal Government programs are changing weekly with some being cancelled.  We encourage all residents to be proactive in exploring any assistance that may be applicable to your unique situation.

We hope everyone is practicing precautionary measures as outlined by Health Canada.

  • Practice social distancing as much as possible to minimize contact with others at this time.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with your sleeve or a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.  Do not flush any wipes or the like down your toilet as they do not break down quickly.
  • Avoid touching your face.
  • Stay home especially if you are ill or showing symptoms.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or a wipe.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing.

The above are some precautionary measures and steps we can all take to ensure the health and safety of our community.  We ask all residents do their part to eliminate the spread of the Covid-19 virus. We very much appreciate your efforts and attention to this at this time.

Do reach out to us with any questions or concerns.

Thank you.
